Sahar was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Dietetics from American University. She also obtained a post grad degree in nutrition form Oregon state University. She spent 4 Years working at an endocrinology center in Beirut and preparing meals and life style plans for clients with eating disorders, health issues and those wanting to lose weight. Sahar moved to DC in 2002 where she has worked as a Clinical Dietitian in an acute care hospital, as well as performing individual nutrition counseling at various location, including major hospital and Nursing homes.
She strives to help and teach people utilize diet and lifestyle habits to achieve weight and body composition goals, enjoy cooking fast healthy meal that are fun, nutritious and not time consuming. She focuses on improving individual relationships with food, and improve overall quality of life and health from the inside-out. She is fluent in Arabic and English and speaks French and currently learning Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking, reading and traveling.
