I was immediately seen by Dr. Hasan. She is very understanding and professional. Her office staff was very friendly and called to verify the appointment and the paper work which I faxed over in advance. They had already verified all information in less than 2 days. Being able to be seen without waiting a month for an initial appointment was just what I need by the end of the month my courage to go to a psychiatrist my have disappeared. ZocDoc made it possible by being able to check multiple doctors schedules and also obtain further information on each one without having to call each doctor yourself.

Complete lack of knowledge in regard to social issues confronting the LGBTQ and non-cisgender communities; very myopic perspective. She is a very nice person.

My visit with Dr. Hasan was extremely disappointing and actually left me in tears. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance. Online I filled out all the paper work, which entailed, Illnesses, Psychiatric issues. Above all It asked me to list all the medication which I did and the follow up receptionist which I will grant was a prompt call back, She also asked me for my medication list.
When I arrived at the designated time, I was greeted asked for my insurance card then the receptionist seemed to find me invisible.
My actual appointment with Dr. Hasan wasn't at all pleasant. She lacked any beside manner and had that (God Complex) that some doctors do. In all, even with 4 different proofs of my medication I was previously on she would not help me with a refill. I told her that I only had enough med's to hold me through the next two days and she promptly told me she wouldn't help.
I was not asking for Controlled Substances, just psychiatrist depression medication. Her final stance said she wouldn't knowing that I would run out. What type of doctor does that? Especially knowing how important they are for mood changes the depression it can cause.
In all I went in a good amount of money for a ten minute rejection session to a woman who in my opinion didn't really give a d **** and walking out crying.
