Born in Canada, Dr. Malik was raised in Vancouver, BC. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of British Columbia, and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. During her studies, Dr. Malik spent several months training in ocular disease treatment and management at the V.A hospital in Palo Alto, CA and North Miami, FL. She also got training in speciality contact lenses and pediatrics in Houston, TX and Vancouver, BC.

The optometrist was very friendly and very knowledgeable, but I thought the glasses were very over priced. Even with the type of insurance coverage that pays for more than half. My wife selected Harley Davidson and hers were cheaper than Airlock which I don't see in the same class as Harley Davidson. But besides the prices, I think the staff there did a great job!!

Dr. Malik was knowledgeable and did her job fine. The front desk was ok. Not particularly impressive, but not terrible either. They weren't the warmest of ladies, and I did feel a bit pressured to buy their higher end frames.

I absolutely love her and this office! It's like seeing a friend every time. Her and her staff are so friendly and helpful. Especially when choosing frames!

The doctor was over 30 minutes late. The front office staff does the minimal when you arrive. She just asks you to sign two forms and that is all, doesn't even inform you were to wait.

Scheduling the appointment was SUPER easy I was actually very surprised . Upon showing up for my appointment, I was a little concerned. It took me an hour to get back to see the doctor due to a family of 3 in front of me that needed to be seen. I would have appreciated if someone would have called and let me know that my slot was not a good one and ask if they could push my appointment back by an hour. The front desk representative/MA was SUPER nice although she was SWAMPED. I watched her juggle multiple task with grace... The office area was very small for everyone (staff and patients) to function in. I will be returning next week to have my daughter's eyes check but it's really only because the front desk rep was on it!

I am very pleased with this business. The appointment setting was dead easy and extremely convenient through Zodoc. I found an appointment for my son and I for the same day.
They are in my network which was wonderful too because I had a very small copay and we had great benefits for frames and lenses.
Dr. Malik was very professional and thorough in her examination. Her approach to treating a pediatric patient as well as an adult, was impeccable and extremely pleasant.
The office is brand new and tastefully decorate, and the location could not be more convenient (In the parking lot of the new HEB on San Felipe and Fountain view). They also have state of the art medical equipment and a nice collection of frames as well as sunglasses.
We ordered our frames and they were offered for one week after.
Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Malik and this practice.

Today was my first visit and I loved it! The building is a bit difficult to find but after driving a round trying to use my gps I finally called and the staff directed me right there. The staff is over all very friendly and professional. The store itself is quite small but, they have a great selection of frames readily available at a reasonable price. Another plus is that I had literally only scheduled my appointment the day before and they were able to get in me in the next afternoon. Love it and highly recommend to others.

Extremely noisy next door, sounded like there was a daycare in the next room. Not to nit pick, but the smell, .when I initially walked in, was very pungent, not sure what it was, maybe someone had just warmed some food.

She carries a very welcoming and energetic yet calm demeanor. She also ensures her wording is understood for the average person. There was no waiting time or "in between" time to complete the appointment. The decor of her office is upscale yet cozy. Prices definitely do not represent the upscale feel! ? It was very affordable even with out insurance coverage. I'm definitely thinking about LASIK surgery! But for now my awesome glasses will do which will arrive in less than a week.

This business is a scam, they over inflate there prices in order to offer a discount that really is 50% more than regular prices and services for the same product. I am sure they will be out of business soon.

I drove all the way from Katy to sugarland but there were a lot of undisclosed information that wasn't states on the groupon and and I felt that is was unfair! It was forcing the patients into purchasing their products without any previous disclosure. I wouldnt have purchased this groupon if I knew of everything. I recommend the doctor. Not the place of business.
