Sandra really cares about your hearing and you having the safest educated visit. She even drew me pictures of what’s going on in my ear. As a visual learner I felt very taken care of. That was the most thorough hearing test I’ve ever had.
And she’s Jamaican so I felt really cared for as a black woman myself. She deserves a raise!

Sandra Delapenha is an audiologist with expertise in audiological evaluations and the fitting of hearing aids and other devices for adults and children. Dr. Delapenha is also specially trained in the evaluation of auditory processing disorder or CAEP testing. Prior to joining CHC, she honed her skills at Mount Sinai Union Square and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She’s highly experienced in diagnostics and passionate about getting to know her clients—by being a proactive listener and understanding the impact of hearing loss on their lives—so she can recommend the best hearing solutions for each individual. Dr. Delapenha holds a Doctor of Audiology from A.T. Still University and a Masters and B.A. from Hunter College, CUNY.
NOTE: Dr. Delapenha does not see tinnitus patients. For tinnitus services, schedule an appointment with audiologist Susan Adams or Dominique Calandrillo, both colleagues of Dr. Delapenha.
NOTE: If you are interested in an Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) evaluation, this service may require more than one visit.
NOTE: Medicare participants are required to obtain a referral from their primary care physician before an appointment for a hearing test can be scheduled.
