I was constantly sick while growing up, and my frequent visits to doctors and the quality of care I received ultimately piqued my interest in medicine. This interest turned into a passion when I experienced multiple sports injuries during my college years, solidifying my decision to become a doctor.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and went on to receive my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at Rochester Regional Health, United Memorial Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
Family medicine encompasses general care, allowing me to treat diverse patient populations across different age groups. Combined with my specialties in osteopathic manipulative medicine and sports medicine, I am able to practice a holistic approach to care and adhere to Dr. A.T. Still’s statement, “To find health should be the object of the doctor. Anyone can find disease.”
I like to follow the golden rule: treat others how you want to be treated. Having been a patient multiple times myself, I can empathize with patients’ concerns and always try to put myself in their shoes. This empathy helps us make mutual decisions together.
I enjoy spending time with family, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, swimming, and tennis.
Think holistically. Mind, body, spirit, nutrition, and physical activity are all central to well-being.

Dr. Lim has restored my faith in doctors. We discussed all my health issues, not just a fall that I experienced before the appt. He was able to shed light on what was going on and put it all together. He explained that I was born with a condition (a connective tissue disorder) and it has been the primary cause of my health issues. He is helping me navigate next steps. He spends time with his patients, has a wonderful bedside manner, and empowers his patients with information. I wish I met him sooner.
