Patient reviews for Dr. Sanjeev Nath
None of his machines work and he would sit there and think and not say anything while we were waiting for him. He also took a phone call while with us stepped into another room and just kind of forgot about us! He did not seem knowledgeable at all. DO NOT GO THERE!
He is very knowledgeable and his staff is really friendly. The only bad part about this was that the wait time to get my eyes checked took a little over 2 hours.
Very professional and educated in their fields
Office pace is very slow. Testing was not explained. Incorrect prescription given. Do not recommend if you are under the age of 65. I had to tell the Dr. I needed to get back to work and that he had to see me.
The receptionists and Dr. Nath were all very welcoming and professional. It was a long wait but worth it because he was open on the Saturday of a holiday weekend.. A real life saver!
My waiting time was almost 5 hours, (no kidding!) which is not worth it for me. I did not get the glasses or contact lens prescription that I specifically said my purpose for visiting. Instead, I was tested for glaucoma, optic nerves 2 times, a sales pitch for a new clinic branch. Nobody told me what the purpose of the tests were and I was not aware that I required them. I have been asked to come back for the prescriptions.
This appointment was completely bizarre. I inquired to see if this doctor could do a basic test to see if I needed a new prescription for my glasses. Instead I was put through a battery of very expensive tests. He insinuated that something was wrong with my ability to perceive certain colors. He said he would call me the next week to discuss further. He never called back. I didn't even get the prescription I went in for in the first place. When I called back, they tried to book me to see the doctor again - I refused, as I didn't get any results or my asked for prescription out of the first one. I was not comfortable with the idea of giving this doctor any more of my money. This whole experience verged on what I would actually consider a borderline criminal act in taking my money considering the lack of services provided. The whole experience was extremely odd. I am not someone who leaves online reviews, but I feel that in good faith I have to warn people about my experience with this doctor.
Dr. Nath is very careful and did all the necessary tests for my condition plus one that wasn't covered my the insurance but it was okay since I wasn't charged for it. He has a very good bedside manner but like most doctors in NYC he doesn't seem to have much time for talking with patients. Overall it was a good experience.
My appointment was originally at 2 and it was changed to 2:45. I arrived at 2:45 and the staff walked in at 3:55. I was seen at 4:10. Because I have to pick up my kids at 5 in BK, I had to leave at 4:30, without finishing the exam. But the person who saw me (who by the way was friendly and happy) implied it was my fault because I couldn't stay to finish the appointment. I tried to explain that i had been waiting since 2:45!! But he did not get it. Not sure why the staff brings us in soooo early, and there was at least 10 of us waiting, if the staff has not arrived. I spoke to other people and said that the delay was normal in this office. This is just the closest place to them so that's where they have to go! I have to return to finish my exam! :(
Totally disappointed.my appointment was at 10am and the doctor came at 1pm. He was overwhelming about himself. Most of the time he was busy about his cell phones. Also he was suggesting about expensive treatment which I can't afford and he replied cheap mentality people. It was a waste of mine. My request to zocdoc is that do not recommend those kind annoyed doctor's. Disgusting doctor ever.
Me gustó mucho pero el tiempo de espera es excesivo 5 hrs de mi dia?, gracias a Dios no trabajé o tuve que hacerlo.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The lady at the front desk was very sweet, but the office was in disarray and appeared extremely disorganized. She seemed overwhelmed with work, and there were stacks of papers all over the place. Not a good first impression. They have a weird "open office" policy I guess you could call it, where patients sit in the same examination room together. I initially thought this meant in rooms while eye tests are being performed (fine by me), but no, it's in the doctor's office! This means your personal information, finances, insurance, etc. are all being discussed in front of a complete stranger! I felt very awkward sitting there (literally 5 ft away) listening to a man's health information, full name, and finance situation. I certainly wouldn't want MY information disclosed that way. I believe they do this to give the illusion that patients are being seen in a timely manner (not the case), but I was just sitting there waiting for my turn. Something I could've done in the waiting room while the other man still maintains his privacy. Granted they do give you a form stating this policy, I personally misunderstood what this meant, but just be aware this may not be for you. Now on to the unprofessional behavior of this doctor. After waiting a couple of hours, he strolls in with suitcases apologizing to everyone that he just returned from vacation. Why weren't the patients informed that the doctor was not even there? Despite being late he did not present a sense of urgency. Once I'm finally seen the first thing he does is try to use me as a recruiting source for hiring staff in order to increase his web presence, even giving me his personal email which I did not ask for. Then he went into a philosophical conversation, asking me inane questions, gave me details about his family and his vacation, I could go on but I digress. I told him from the very beginning that I've been waiting for quite a while and I just wanted to get on with the appointment and go home. He must've gone on with personal conversation for over 30 minutes, meanwhile we only spoke for 10 minutes about my actual eyes. I went in for a simple eye exam to get a prescription. Instead, I walked out having had a variety of unnecessary eye tests and hooked up to machines that I did not ask for. Probably a ploy to stall as he had not yet arrived at the office. From my past eye doctor experiences, what could have been a 30-60 minute appointment turned into an over 3 hour lesson of red flags to look out for. AND I still never got my prescription! At the end of the appointment he informs me that they do not perform the test there and to ask my previous doctor to send over the information for my previous contact lens prescription. Such a waste of time. STAY AWAY.
It was a vision related appointment so important. They made me feel very good about it. Calmed my nerves and i couldn't recommend them more highly.
I saw Dr. Nath because I had noticed some deterioration in my vision. He was professional, thorough and quick - made me feel extremely comfortable and confident that I was getting the best medical attention possible. I highly recommend Dr. Nath to anyone.
Zocdoc, PLEASE FORCE DOCTORS TO SPECIFY IF THEY TAKE WALKIN AND APPOINTMENT WITH EQUAL PRIORITY. THIS GUY HAD A TWO HOUR+ WAIT. THIS IS RUINING THE QUALITY OF ZOCDOC. WHY SHOULD I USE ZOCDOC IF MY APPOINTMENT MEANS NOTHING?
Extremely thorough, very kind.
Dr. Nath himself is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. The process works in that the patient does a whole bunch of tests via his staff members and then Dr. Nath meets with you at the end to discuss results. His staff is very good but I can't say with confidence that I felt comfortable in the abilities of the one specific person who helped me the most (although this person was incredibly friendly). However, the professionalism of the other staff members shined through.
Dr. Nath and his staff are amazing. They are very understanding and welcoming.
Absolute professional! Friendly, explained and answered every question. Incredibly polite and helpful staff. I highly recommend.
Great doctor; finally someone who gets me!
Dr Nath and his associates are well versed in their field. However, my biggest concern (and this enough for me not to come back), is their poor ability to stay within a reasonable quoted time. Two times the check up process took over two hrs and the majority of it was waiting. Both times they quoted 1 hr but failed to stick close enough to it. People in NY are busy and cannot just wait forever. Please review the way you see patients to ensure greater control over the times you quote to your clients.
Very thorough examination. Did not feel rushed at all. Staff was very nice and professional!
The wait time was too long, but the visit itself was very good.
I got to the office right as they were opening and waited only very briefly while they flicked on the lights and started the machines. Everyone in the office was very friendly and personable and the exam was very thorough. I'm only just starting treatment but I look forward to continuing under the care of Dr. Nath and his staff.
Great doctor. I highly recommend him.
My first appt for a regular check up took 2 hours which was longer than I ever anticipated on spending. The office is not as state of the art as I am used to however the doctors were very thorough with me and took their time which I appreciated. I left feeling much better about going to see a professional.
First class professional.........
Very knowledgable doctor.
Dr Nath and all of his associates were amazing. They all made made me feel very welcomed and were extremely nice. I remember smiling the whole time i was there. They were very accommodating since I made this appt on my lunch break and only had an hour. They saw me right away and made sure I left on time. Usually when i see a doctor, I feel rushed and barely get to talk to the actual doctor while i wait 30mns to an hour to see them. Dr, Nath on the other hand talked me through everything and was thorough. This office is a keeper in my book.
Efficient, friendly, and very informative!
My daughter had horrible eye pain, redness, swelling, etc. on Friday night, the night before her graduation of all times. I was frantic because it was nearly impossible to find an eye doctor who’s open on Saturdays and takes our insurance. Thankfully I came across Dr. Nath, called his office and spoke to Lina, who was very helpful and really great. And Dr. Nath was wonderful with my daughter. He diagnosed her problem right away and explained everything. He's very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. My daughter had a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend him! Natalie D.
Like him a lot, very good and conscientious.
The staff here is very kind and accommodating. They were very thorough. Dr Nath was very thorough in his explanations and thorough, and answered all questions I had. I would highly recommend!
It went very well.
The staff is so nice and helpful!
Professional, friendly, thorough, and quick.
I started experiencing some serious pain in my eye and needed to get it checked out. Luckily I stumbled across Dr. Nath's office who had an available appointment that day. I must say that this was one of the best doctors visits I've ever had across any field. I was seen quite rapidly, with great care and attention given. The office has numerous skilled doctors and technicians, and I was told it was one of the best equipped eye facilities in the country. The office also produces a significant amount of academic papers a year. I have now been there multiple times and can say Dr. Nath truly cares about his patients. He even stayed with me until 8:30pm one night (we were the last 2 people in the office) to fully explain my condition and to make sure I was aware of everything that was going on. Highly recommended.
