Hi there! I’m Sara, mama of one exceptionally sweet boy, dog mom, nature lover, and anti-diet Registered Dietitian.
What does that mean?
Well, simply put, being anti-diet means that I have an ethical responsibility to not put you on a diet. That’s right, a dietitian who gives you complete permission to eat the foods you love without feeling guilt and shame. *no strings attached*
It’s clear from the scientific evidence that diets do not work long term.
Interestingly, up to 95% of diets fail, resulting in regaining any weight lost, plus more. This cycle of yo-yo dieting is extremely harmful to your heart, hormones, and mental health.
I want to help you break the yo-yo dieting cycle! Smash that scale and throw away every single sugar-free, low fat, tasteless piece of food that diet culture promised would finally give you the life of your dreams.
Like many, I have my own sordid history of disordered eating, and it took me a long time to make peace with food and heal from the trauma that diet culture had inflicted upon me.
I know where you’re coming from. I’ve been in your shoes. It’s time to reclaim your power that diet culture stole from you!
I practice through a HAES (Health at Every Size) informed lens and hold space for you to work through the process of healing your relationship with food and find food freedom.
Most importantly, my mission is to help as many people as possible heal from diet culture trauma through food freedom!
