Dr. Sara J. Mucowski was raised in rural Pennsylvania until her family tired of the harsh winters and moved to Florida. Dr. Mucowski returned to Pennsylvania after acceptance to a prestigious 6-year combined Bachelor of Science/Medical Degree (BS/MD) program with Villanova University and Drexel University College of Medicine. During this time, she became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and volunteered her time providing medical care to the campus of Villanova University and the citizens of the surrounding towns. After graduating with honors, Dr. Mucowski ventured to Galveston, Texas, where she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). During her time at UTMB, Dr. Mucowski was commended as Chief Resident, received awards for excellence in medical student teaching, and was given top honors for her research in embryo placentation.
Dr. Mucowski received fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, CA, under the esteemed tutelage of world renowned physicians. During her time as a fellow, she presented her research internationally, published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, and was again awarded top honors for her research. She also received additional training in minimally invasive surgery, specifically using the DaVinci robotic system.
Upon completion of her subspecialty training, Dr. Mucowski was eager to return to Texas and is honored to join the highly respected team at Dallas IVF. She is a member of several national and international societies, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
