About Dr. Kayla Mapps
Dr. Kayla Mapps was born and raised in the Dallas metroplex, graduating from Irving High School in Irving, Texas. She attended Prairie View A&M where she graduated Magna Cum Lade with a degree in biology. Dr. Mapps received her medical degree from UT Health Science Center Medical School in Houston, Texas. During this time, Dr. Mapps felt most drawn to women's health which sparked her pursuit in OB/GYN.
She was accepted into the LSU school of medicine OB/GYN residency program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she trained for 4 years. During this time, Dr. Mapps trained in robotics, high risk pregnancies, infertility, and full scope prenatal and gynecological services. Dr. Mapps practiced with a private group in Stockton, California upon leaving residency for about 5 1/2 years until she relocated back to Texas in December 2020.
Dr. Mapps' free time mainly consists of taking care of her 3 kids and her 2 dogs. She loves spending time with her family, cooking/baking, reading, and traveling when she can.

Kayla was great, the woman at the front desk was great. One of the nurses that took me back wouldn’t look me in the eye when she was speaking to me or give me clear instructions. That was a major red flag.

Dr. Mapps is amazing! I no longer need OB services but Gyn is still very important. And, when you are terrified of what is happening to your body and if you feel the need to have a meltdown, Dr. Mapps is the DR for you. She listened, consoled and calmed me during my epic meltdown of fearing the worst. I was with my previous lady doctor for over 20 years so making a change was very difficult but I am so glad I found Dr. Mapps. I almost don't want to post this review and keep this gem to myself!

I would definitely recommend going to Dr. Mapps, she was great, very friendly, and made me feel comfortable for my first visit, and I’m a very nervous person. The front desk staff were awesome, they took care of me straight away, with no problems and were super friendly and quick . The entire staff was amazing. The atmosphere from the time I walked into the office was awesome. I was greeted with smiling faces and the office was not crowded, you are called in to the back at your appointment time. Dr. Mapp has great beside manners and is easy to talk too.

The office staff needed a bit of kindness at first but Dr. Mapps was exceptional , listened carefully and not just jumped to medicate you but truly heard your concerns, symptoms, and preferred treatment options.
