More about Dr. Sarah Huber, MD
Dr. Sally Huber is a Georgia native but moved to New York to complete her undergraduate degree at Columbia University. After college, Dr. Huber received her medical degree at New York Medical College and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University and Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Huber went on to graduate from a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. During her training there, she also received Certification in Clinical Epidemiology through the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
During her fellowship, Dr. Huber received a grant for her research in pelvic floor conditions in transgender women. This was a national project, headed by Dr. Huber, that generated long-term applications in improving the quality of care in transgender women after surgery.
Her special interests in urogynecology include robotic and minimally invasive surgery, understanding and treating neurogenic bladder problems and pelvic organ prolapse, and testing measures of quality of life and satisfaction. Dr. Huber is also an advocate for improving pelvic health in the LGBTQ community and continues to be involved in outreach and education initiatives in that area.
In her free time, Sally enjoys spending time with her wife and daughter, exploring the Atlanta food scene, and hitting the hiking trails of North Georgia. An avid traveler, Sally is always on the look out for new parts of the world to explore or local hidden gems to visit.
