When we meet, I'll learn from the two of you where you’re stuck in your relationship and what your dreams and goals are in your lives. I'll work with you to tailor our therapy to be most effective and satisfying for both of you, helping you heal from old wounds, learn loving, effective communication, and create the relationship you yearn for.
In private practice for over 35 years, I was part of the original group of therapists who trained with John Gottman since the 1990s and was one of the very first Certified Gottman Therapists. I deeply value the research-based nature of the Gottman Method, guiding therapy and couples to make the changes that really matter for a healthy relationship. I bring a rich understanding, from many sources, of the meaning and value of connection between couples.
I hold a PhD in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. My greatest enjoyment and fulfillment in therapy is working hard with couples on the path toward intentional, mindful connection with one another. I look forward to assisting you in developing a relationship that nourishes and enriches your life journey and witnessing the experience of your growth together.
I practice telepsychology with couples in Washington State and have authority to practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology in the states in PSYPACT.
