Dr. Azar is a Board Certified Radiologist with over 25 years in the medical profession. He did his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University where he obtained his BA in Chemistry. He then went on to receive his Medical Degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. After that he took an Internship in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Azar then completed a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. He then furthered his education in radiology with a Fellowship in Neuroradiology from Cornell NY Hospital/Sloan Kettering. During his training and during his years of practice, Dr. Azar has gained extensive experience in performing invasive and minimally invasive procedures. He uses his radiology training to diagnose varicose veins and venous insufficiency by using ultrasound. His private practice focuses on treatment of patients with venous insufficiency of the legs, varicose veins, leg pain and swelling. He uses the most up to date technology with endovascular laser ablation.
