Dr. Waller attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree, followed by the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York where he received his Medical Degree.
He completed an internship in General Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Following his internship he engaged in full time clinical and orthopaedic basic science research at The Hospital For Special Surgery in New York City.
Dr. Waller then returned to clinical training and completed a categorical residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York under the direction of Dr. Chitranjan Ranawat, a world renown orthopaedic surgeon.
Highlights of Dr. Waller’s residency included a six month rotation through the Harvard system’s Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts for pediatric orthopaedic surgery; a rotation through The Elmhurst Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York for orthopaedic trauma; and rotations through The Mt. Sinai Medical Center and The Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City for orthopaedic oncology.

He told me “couldn’t really tell” what was wrong with my elbow. With no maybe diagnosis and just suggested physical therapy. I was not happy with that and saw another doctor, who did, tennis elbow. He was very nice but I don’t think you see a doctor to hear, I don’t know.

Dr Waller and his staff were great, could not find anything negative about the experience. However, they never got the ZocDoc notification of my appointment and the paperwork I filled out in advance. Despite that, they were extremely accommodating.

He was not very informative with me, just very general and recommended therapy. I knew it would be tough because my knee has been in serious pain for 2 months but then all of sudden started feeling a lot better 2 days before my appointment so it was difficult to explain.
The one thing that bothered me is after I got x-rays taken, I sat in the room with the door closed waiting for the doctor, heard him pick up the x-rays from outside, put them down and then came in and said they looked fine. It didn't hit me until I was driving home that he didn't even bring the x-rays in to show me. I'm no doctor but anytime I've ever gotten x-rays the doctor looks at them with you; not just walk in and say they looked fine.

I was very pleased with my visit. Dr. Waller took time to explain what was happening to my ankle and my options. So far I am very pleased. I am waiting for a phone call to book an MRI. His support staff were also very pleasant and professional. The waiting room was bright and cheerful.

My father and I liked him very much. He explained everything so well. He was very attentive my father who was the patient. Many physicisnd tend to speak anout my father to me because he is hard of hearing. That is very disrespectful to my father. Dr Waller paid all his attention on my father, The way a senior should be treated. I praise him for his caring.
