Dr. Bader grew up in the Bay Area attending UC Davis where he majored in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior graduating with Highest Honors. He stayed at UC Davis for Medical School and completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He then completed a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine, Knee, Shoulder and Hip Arthroscopy at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. While at the Cleveland Clinic he gained extensive experience as Team Physician of local high schools, club teams and Cleveland State University. He was also a member of the medical team for the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns and the NFL Combine gaining experience in the management and care of athletes at all levels.
After his fellowship Dr. Bader returned with his wife and three children to settle in the East Bay. For the past 4 years he has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez. He has published numerous peer reviewed articles and books chapters focusing on joint preservation. He has presented at regional and national conferences on the treatment of knee disorders and ACL reconstruction. He brings an added skill in the management of hip disorders in the young adult. Currently he serves as Team Physician for Diablo Valley College in Concord and Los Medanos College in Pittsburgh.
He is dedicated to helping patients achieve their desired level of function and pain relief whether they be elite athletes, weekend warriors or older adults.

Dr. Bader is truly one of the finest surgeons I have ever had. (And I have had many). He repaired my shoulder twice (my fault) and my knee once. Every step of before, during and after care is thorough.
