About Dr. Jeffrey Halbrecht
Dr. Halbrecht is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has been an active member of the learning center committee, which teaches other orthopedic surgeons from around the world current techniques in arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Halbrecht is a member of AOSSM (American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine), the former medical director for the Women’s World Pro Ski Tour, a consultant for AVP Volleyball, and US Soccer, and former Associate Professor at University of California at San Francisco in the Graduate Department of Physical Therapy.
Dr. Halbrecht has been a pioneer in minimally invasive techniques in arthroscopic surgery including numerous articles and presentations on in-office arthroscopic techniques, and is currently involved in research on the treatment of articular cartilage injuries and new techniques in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. Dr Halbrecht is also a member of numerous medical societies and is a frequent lecturer nationally and internationally on techniques in Arthroscopic surgery. Dr Halbrecht obtained his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, where he graduated with honors, and did his medical school training at New York University where he was president of the AOA honor society. He did his orthopedic training at the prestigious Hospital for Joint Disease in New York and has completed two fellowships, one in orthopedic biomechanics and research, and the other in sports medicine at the world renowned Southern California Center for Sports Medicine. Dr. Halbrecht specializes in arthroscopic surgery and the treatment of knee and shoulder injuries.

Dr. Halbrecht perhaps wants to consider firing some of his staff. Especially Nyia. It's so unpleasant that they kept me waiting while my injury is getting worse each day. I waited a month to be able to get MRI and more than a month so far for a surgery appointment and until today I still haven't heard from them. They blame it on the insurance but I contacted my insurance, and they have been clearly waiting for the doctor's office to follow up, which took more than a month at this point. These staff are heartless and cold blooded. I would warn everyone to stay away from them. Maybe Dr. Halbrecht is the best surgeon in town, but it doesn't matter if he just hires incompetent staff to manage his office.

The doctor had a lot of available time slots via ZocDoc, I book one of them and got confirmation via email the next day. But I also got a phone call from the office notifying me that the time was not available and the soonest appointment will be the week after. But all of the availability on the previous week was still present on ZocDoc.

Dr. Halbrecht listened to my problems and helped me get the diagnosis I needed. I didn't have some reports he needed but I'd had them done earlier so he had his staff pull them from the other source. He also seemed like a rather pleasant fellow, so there's that.
