after suffering with low back pain for 2 1/2 years. my primary care, refered me to Dr. Kalantar. I had an MRI the prior day. His assistant came and asked me questions about my pain and the regular stuff. then the doctor came in and said there was nothing wrong with my back, and just offered me steroid injections, and to try physical therapy. Nobody examined me, they just stared at me. The doctor did not even show me the MRI and explain what was happening. I was really hoping to get help. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Kalantar is one of those special doctors and special people. He was recommended to me by one of the most important medical doctors at the GU MedStar hospital. Dr. Kalantar performed my spine surgery two years ago. The operation was successful and he was always available by phone afterwards to help with any questions and concerns. At all my follow-up appointments, both in person and now via Zoom, Dr. Kalantar has been on time and completely up to date with my condition. He is also a compassionate person as well as a consummate professional. The best.

One of the worst experiences I have had in a doctors office. I had a appointment for 9:15 AM and I reached their office at 9:00 AM to fill out paperwork. Teala Riggins kept me waiting for over an hour in the lobby and then totally forgot about me. I should’ve known better. This is a great place to visit, if you like wasting your time and being disrespected.

This was my initial visit with Dr Kalantar to discuss problem with my spine. Dr Kalantar was fantastic. He took time to go thru my MRI with me and discussed how he planned to fix the problem, the surgery success rate and the recovery timeline. He addressed all the concerns and fears that I had. I am very happy to have him perform my surgery.
