It's always a pleasure to take my children to see Dr. Ghavami. He always takes the time to go into detail about everything he is doing. He is extremely friendly along with all of his staff as well. He never rushes our appointment and he listens to all of my concerns and or questions I may have... Sometimes the wait is extremely long but I don't mind it because I know he is also giving the same kindness he shows me and my family with the others patients... The wait is always worth it.

Dr Ghavami graduated from the school of medicine, Jondi Shapour University, Ahwaz, Iran with highest honor .After migrating to United State in 1975 he completed his pediatric residency at Children Memorial Hospital, University of Oklahoma. His training followed by completing a two year pediatric endocrinology Fellowship at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. In 1984 he became Board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been a clinical instructor in pediatric at Montefiore Medical Center,Albert Einstein college of Medicine in New York since 1984.He hah been practicing general pediatric in New Jersey and New York since 1981.
Dr ghavami is two time New York city Marathon runner. He is a writer and poet in his native language (Farsi) and has published many books on his area of interest.
In 2002 Dr ghavami Founded the Ziba Foundation which is a non profit organization promoting Art for Humanity.
His wife, Nina Ghavami has been involved in all kinds of humanitarian and cultural activities since 1980. Dr Ghavami and his wife live in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Their daughter Maryam is a pediatrician and son Dana is a entrepreneur in internet technology.
