Shabnam Kashani M.D., FACOG is a board certified obstetrician & gynecologist and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Bridgeport /Yale New Haven Hospital and did her fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic and robotic surgery with Yale Gynecologic Oncology group.
During residency she was chosen by American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) as an honorary resident for special excellence in laparoscopy. She is the author of multiple articles and abstracts concerning minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Her articles have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as “Neurobiology of Aging Journal”, “Connecticut Medicine” and “Journal of the Society of Laparoendscopic Surgeons, JSLS”. Her scientific paper in Robotic surgery was chosen as an honorable mention by the society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons in 2012. She is clinical assistant professor at Quinnipiac University. Dr. Kashani is an accomplished speaker who has presented at many local, regional, national and international symposiums. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society of Laparoendscopic Surgeons and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She established Advanced Gynecology and Robotic Surgery in 2012 with the goal of providing progressive healthcare to women throughout the lifecycle. Dr. Kashani lives in Fairfield, CT with her husband (a neurologist) and two children. She credits her family with keeping her grounded, balanced and happy.

I went to Dr. Kashanis office after one of my friends (nurse) recommended her. Her office is clean, and modern with brand new equipment. She is probably one of the most knowledgeble and sincere doctors I have ever seen. If you want an honest, caring, and extremely intelligent Doctor, this is the one.

i always wanted a female Ob-gyn' coz i felt i would be more comfortable talking to a women about my problems. she is the best. My first visit was really fun. her office is decorate with class. the staff was really friendly. i would highly recommend her.

I met Dr.Kashani for the first time today, a Saturday too. I was unfortunately late for the appt but she was very patient and pleasant about it. She took the time to listen to me and my concerns and by the end of the visit, it felt like I had known her forever! Loved her office too...nothing like what one usually expects at a Dr's office!!
