Dr. Shail Vyas is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic procedures. He received his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. He stayed in Los Angeles and completed his internship and residency also at UCLA Medical Center. He chose to pursue specialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the world famous University of Pittsburgh Center for Sports Medicine. While there, he served as team physician for many college and professional teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater.
His areas of interest include arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. He enjoys treating problems of the knee that involve ligament, cartilage, or meniscal pathology. He also enjoys treating shoulder problems such as rotator cuff injury, impingement, and labral injuries. He is adept at operative and non-operative treatment of orthopaedic ailments including general orthopaedic problems and fractures. He also volunteers as team physician for local high schools.

Great doctor, the wait time can suck sometimes (especially at the chino location). Even with the wait time, will still continue to trust with everything orthopedic. He repaired my hip, which I am 100% now, and a friend of mine who had the same surgery from another doctor is still in a lot of pain 1.5 years later.

In all fairness the wait time was due to an unusually heavy patient load. This office is a group of doctors which serve many different between two different locations. I have never seen it that busy since I've been going to Dr. Vyas. There is a good possibility that the appoints were over booked due to a problem with ZocDoc, not the medical staff.

Went in for a broken thumb. Doctor was great- made me feel comfortable. Asked that I get new X-rays and offered for me to come into the Anaheim office the following day. Staff is very nice. I would recommend Dr Shail Vyas.

Dr was great. The issue I had was when I called the dr office the day prior to confirm Dr Vyasr specialized in epidural injection. The lady who answered the phone replied yes. I got to my appt. The dr does not do the epidural. I suggest not to have the front desk give out false info.

The office seems like a family practice. It was hectic in the beginning because there is a wide variety of specialties. So there was a little wait but the doctor and staff were very knowledgable and nice.

I feel that he asked a lot of good, important questions. He was concerned with my injury and wants me to get better 100%. He gave me other options to help me out financially. His staff was also friendly and helpful.

The first visit was very comfortable. He asked questions and offered valuable information. He required further info from my primary physician to come to a more accurate diagnoses. He was thorough and offered various alternatives on how to handle my ailment.
