Dr. Youngs was fantastic. She was very friendly and thoughtful. I went in for a general consultation and decided to make her my primary care physician. She also performed a pap and it was very polite and painless. Her assistant drew blood for some testing and she also performed the task well. Quick and painless. I would highly recommend this office.

Shawn Youngs is a compassionate and engaging family physician serving her patients in Wood Dale, IL. Dr. Youngs is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Youngs offers her patients her 12-year deep expertise regarding primary and acute care in the hospital and outpatient settings.
Dr. Youngs received her medical education from the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine. She then completed her family practice residency at the Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. Youngs’ medical areas of interest are in well-child exams, currently health status evaluations, disease evaluations, employee physicals, preoperative medical clearance, worker’s compensation, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, asthma, respiratory illnesses, women’s health, family planning and preliminary fertility management, pain management, and dermatological procedures.

Just be aware that the address is 1147 S Butterfield and her office is in a strip mall by fox bowl and the comic book shop.
She is awesome and has great bedside manner. I'm a doctor phone and she made it easy on me! Lovely woman and physician.

Dr. Youngs is great! She really cares about her patients and is really informative regarding any questions or concerns you have about your health. She recently moved to a new office in Wheaton and has a very nice facility. My recent visit was very good and her staff is very nice. I would recommend Dr. Youngs to anyone.

Dr. Young started a new practice, unfortunately she has been completely unprepared for every step of this.
She wrote my precription for the wrong dosage, and then was out of the office for the majority of a week, so my phramacy couldnt' get this corrected, I was without the medicine that I very much need.
Her new practice frequently closes up at NOON making it nearly impossible to find a time to see her.
Her after hours emergency number is a joke, if you are having a medical emergency after hours that is serious but not serious enough to an emergency room, she will tell the after hours office that she has no interest in addressing this issue unless it is during a paid appointment, defeating the purpose of such a number.
I tried to be patient with this doctor, since she was setting up a new practice, but it became clear that the problems I was experiencing were due to her apathy. There are plenty of doctors out there, and I saw no reason to stay with one who clearly cared so little about her patients

Dr. Youngs is the best doctor I have ever been to. She spent time with me and went over in detail my histories, problems and concerns. She explained everything she was ordering and each part of the exam. She even addressed some minor chronic problems I was having and offered great solutions, which I wasn't even expecting! Her office is beautiful. Very warm and homey. Her staff was very friendly. I barely had to wait, which was nice! I feel like Dr. Youngs is the type of doctor everyone wishes they had, but can never find. Very compassionate, intelligent, kind and willing to take the time to explain things. I'm certainly happy I found her!

Dr. Youngs is an amazing doctor. I have never had an issue to schedule an appointment around my crazy schedule. She explains things and is truly concerned about her patients. I have never had a doctor that is so kind and helpful!!!! Would recommend her to everyone I know :)
