This was my first OBGYN appointment, so I was definitely nervous. All staff took great care to walk me through each step of the process. While the physical exam was not the most pleasant (just such a new sensation), Dr. Sheth and her medical assistant in training Paul were very patient and were able to get what they needed. I got my annual blood work done on site immediately afterwards and Dr. Sheth volunteered to sit with me since I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to needles. She definitely didn’t have to do that (nor did I ask her to) but again, I appreciate her distracting me from the task at hand. I will certainly return next year!

Funny you should ask! As soon as I finished my appointment with Dr. Sheth, I immediately reached out to my best friend, who had been hesitant about going to see a gynecologist, and let her know about the amazing visit I just had. After checking in with the nurse (? - not sure what her title is), I was interviewed by a medical student, who was exceptional and had a great spiel for the IUD, for which I've had reservations but now am seriously considering getting. This was a male student, but the staff let me know if I did not feel comfortable, I could opt out of the examination with him. He was there for the full appointment afterwards, conducted a breast examination in a very professional manner, and observed Dr. Sheth as she did the speculum exam. He was young, friendly, and insightful, and I think he will go on to be a great doctor. (Great job, Josh!) Dr. Sheth was fantastic herself. Totally understanding of any concerns that could come up (for example, when she mentioned getting blood work done, I was worried I might be too dehydrated, to which she responded, that's ok, it's completely understandable that I might have been caught off-guard, and that I could go in to any LabCorp to get the tests done whenever I felt ready). I think one of the most important elements of professionalism for the specific career of gynecology and obstetrics, or frankly any medical profession, is the need to help your patients feel at ease. Dr. Sheth was thoughtful, engaging, a great trainer, and fully supportive of both her patient and trainee the entire time. The only thing that put a bit of a damper on the appointment was the receptionist's somewhat rude attitude, but I think that's mostly because - during the time of Covid - she's probably quite sick of having to sanitize all of the pens every time someone sticks it back in the basket after she told them not to (sorry, girl!) I left the office feeling confident about my health options and I look forward to my next visit to GW clinics. P.S. I even got my bloodwork done--the phlebotomist was stellar!

My experience with Dr. Sheth was fantastic day. As a new patient, she really took the time to get to know me, my medical history and current medical issues/ concerns. She was engaging and very easy to talk to and I felt very comfortable during my initial appointment. She was extremely thorough in her evaluation and recommendations and took the time to answer all of my questions. She was very clear with her follow-up instructions. I feel silly for procrastinating this long to see her. I will highly recommend her to my friends and colleagues!

Dr. Sheth was so wonderful, caring, and kind. She made me feel instantly comfortable and was extremely helpful in coming up with a plan for me. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone! Not only was she great, but her office staff were extremely nice and helpful as well. The office itself is also a really welcoming and nice atmosphere. It's very clear that Dr. Sheth and all of the individuals working there really care about their patients.
