My first intention when I meet with a patient is to thoroughly evaluate their case and provide them with an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan. This process is therefore highly tailored to the patient’s prior medical, social and psychiatric history. My focused areas of practice are general psychiatric diseases of the adult and those of children and adolescents (4-21). Depending on the case the information from family and school is very important particularly for children and adolescents.
I am a fourth generation Texan. I was born and raised in the Texas panhandle, attended Texas A&M for college and Medical School at the University of North Texas – Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth. After medical school I left the state to pursue specialty and subspecialty training. I completed my general psychiatry residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and a subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry at The University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Both leading programs in the country, I am currently board certified in both General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
I came back home to Texas following this and have been in practice in the Houston area since 2017. My pediatric practice has since its beginnings focused on the developmental and behavioral problems in school age children. Autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety and developmental delay are among the main conditions I manage in this population.
As well, I am experienced in ADHD, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and PTSD in both children and adults. I have a special interest in sleep related disorders including insomnia.

She was awesome!! I’ve been wanting to switch psychiatrists for a while now Bc my previous doctor was HORRIBLE. He was very inattentive and wouldn’t answer my questions about medications, etc. Dr. Sasieta is sooo thorough, asks alll the questions, and truly tries to understand your whole situation.
