Sherri A. Long, MD is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in the Twin Cities area since 1988. Born and raised in West Branch, Iowa, she graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering degree from the College of Engineering at the University of Iowa. She attended medical school at the Carver School of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa and completed her internal medicine internship from St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She finished her residency in Dermatology at the University of Iowa where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Long has been a staff dermatologist at HealthPartners for the last 24 years before joining North Metro Dermatology. She has been on staff at the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Clinical Professor for over 15 years on a voluntary basis. Dr. Long has been named one of Minnesota Monthly’s “Top Doctors for Women” in the past and as one of “America’s Top Dermatologists” in 2012 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Dr. Long is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of both the Minnesota and Iowa Dermatological Societies.
She has provided comprehensive dermatological care for both adults and children for over 24 years. Her interests are in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of skin diseases including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers in addition to performing minor surgical procedures. Dr. Long is committed to providing her patients with the most effective, safe, and advanced treatments available. She tries to make her patient’s visits as enjoyable and informative as possible.
