More about Dr. Sherrie Papa, DC
My journey in chiropractic started at twelve years old when I was inspired by my own childhood chiropractor and decided that is what I would “grow up to be.” Luckily, I grew up watching my parents and grandparents make diet and lifestyle choices to support health issues they encountered so this “lifestyle medicine” feels like a part of who I am. I feel blessed to be in a profession where I can support and teach others to access their own healing potential by making these choices as well.
I grew up in Miami and attended George Mason University in Northern Virginia. I completed my education at Southern California University of Health Sciences and graduated cum laude in 2001. I also had the privilege of studying and practicing yoga throughout my time in school and the opportunity to live in India studying under yoga masters, this very much informs my approach to the care of my clients and life in general.
After graduating, I practiced chiropractic and taught yoga in Costa Mesa California until 2019 when I moved with my husband Brett and three kiddos (Harper, Paisley, and Bodhi) to Williamson county.
Outside of the office, I stay busy homeschooling my kids, hiking, gardening, studying herbs, teaching anatomy to aspiring yoga teachers, and exploring what Nashville has to offer (OK, and also daydreaming about taking trips to the beach).
I’ve worked with all kinds of bodies! From professional NFL and soccer athletes to corporate athletes to musicians to new mamas and kiddos, and now, YOU!
Community means the world to me and becoming part of the vibrant Franklin community is a blessing. My dream is to be the trusted resource I was to families in Orange County for nearly 20 years.
