As a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 24 years of nursing experience, I have dedicated my career to caring for others. I received my Master of Science in Nursing degree from Stony Brook University and am certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. My extensive experience in critical care medicine has taught me the importance of making quick, sound decisions and paying attention to detailed data, all while prioritizing the essential things in life.
But it wasn’t until I noticed the lack of mental health screening and counseling offered to my patients that I realized my passion for assessing and treating mental health issues. By obtaining a certification as a mental health nurse practitioner, I hope to provide my patients with more robust screening tools and treatment options for their mental health disparities.
I believe that true healing requires a whole-person/wholistic approach, addressing all aspects of an individual’s well-being, from their emotional health to their physical health. My goal is to help each of my patients reach their optimal quality of life, one individual at a time. I understand that seeking mental health care can be daunting, but I want to assure you that I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that prioritizes your mental health and well-being.
