She was excellent. Unfortunately, her new practice doesn't work with insurance providers so patients have to process all of their own insurance paperwork. In my case, I have insurance with a large insurance provider who said that she was in-network (as a doctor), but the practice was using a tax ID code that was out-of-network. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go back due to this reason.

Sian Spurney, MD has experience in several practice settings as a General Internist. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine as Chief Resident at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City in 2001.
A native of Washington, she and her husband moved "home" to the DC area in 2001. She accepted a faculty position as The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates caring for patients in the outpatient setting and was responsible for teaching and supervising the residents in Internal Medicine.
In 2003, she transitions to a position as a hospitalist as George Washington, eventually becoming Director of Hospital Medicine. There she cared for hospitalized patients and continued to carry out responsibilities for the education of residents and medical students in Internal Medicine.
In 2012, she was recruited to Sibley Hospital as a hospitalist to help develop the hospital medicine program. Based on her experience in both academic and community hospital settings, she appreciates that her commitment to her patients' well-being and care is best served by having a long-term relationship as their primary care doctor.

She was amazing. Very comfortable with her knowledgeable. The staff at the front desk however left alot to be desired, one was on the phone with what sounded like a personal phone call the entire time the other was just plain rude and surly.
