After gaining extensive clinical experience at the Illinois Eye Institute, Dr. Toader opened her own optometry office in the University Village area of Chicago. She has a wealth of knowledge in primary care performing comprehensive eye examinations and offering Vision Therapy services to patients with amblyopia and binocular vision disorders. She is trained in diagnosing and treating a multitude of eye conditions including dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, and retinal diseases of the eye such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertensive retinopathy.
Dr. Toader has had the privilege of treating the eyes of her patients, and their family members, at all ages and stages of life during the longevity of her private practice career. She is passionate about improving the overall quality of life of all her patients and believes it starts with enhancing their ability to see the world around them clearly.
Dr. Toader lives in Chesterton, Indiana with her husband Marius and their two Dachshunds, Bob and Bill. Dr. Toader describes herself as “an optometrist by training, but a humanitarian by heart!” She enjoys going on global mission trips to various African countries through the non-profit organization she started, ISA54 Ministries, helping to bring the gift of sight to those living in poverty. Dr. Toader has made several trips to Zambia over the years, helping various children’s organizations and offering free eye exams and glasses. She is keen to continue her humanitarian efforts in Zambia by supporting children, ensuring that children have healthy eyesight. Dr. Toader and her husband are currently in the process of adopting children from Zambia and are looking forward to growing their family in the years to come by building a longer table, not taller walls.
