I recommend her to everyone! They always see my children right away, even if I call last minute. They have a warm friendly office with little to no turnover in staff so its always a familiar face when I visit. I have no complaints at all!

Dr. Smita Parikh Mengers was recently named "Among the Best Pediatricians" by readers of Washington Families Magazine. Dr. Mengers graduated magna-cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a bachelor's degree in anthropology. She received medical training at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. Dr. Mengers completed her pediatric residency at Georgetown University Hospital.
She has been practicing Pediatric Medicine in Maryland since 1992, when she joined a private practice in Montgomery county. Dr. Mengers has had her own practice since 1999.
Dr. Mengers is Board Certified in Pediatrics, and has a special interest in travel medicine. She is on the faculty at George Washington University, and enjoys teaching students from the university in her office. Dr. Mengers is also on the staff of Shady Grove Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital (Germantown).
She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Tim, and their three children (two girls and a boy). Dr. Mengers and her husband are active volunteers for Boy Scouts of America and American Field Service ( foreign exchange students ).

Dr. Mengers is one of the best doctors I am more than lucky enough to have treat my children. She has gone above and beyond to care for my children while they have been severely ill the last 5 weeks. I am so grateful she has same day appointments, and stays later than closing to make sure she cares for my family and listens to our concerns. Her expertise is exactly what any parent can desire. She and her staff are superb!
