Dr. Ochije is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in Adult Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. She completed my medical training at Oba Okunade Sijuade College of Health Sciences, Igbinedion University, Okada, in Nigeria.
Dr. Ochije completed her residency at SBH Health System, Bronx, NY where she also served as the chief resident in her final year. In the period of residency, she enjoyed working as a moonlighter in several hospitals in NY and nearby CT. Dr. Ochije recently completed a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta GA where she also gathered experience in neuromodulation treatments.
Dr. Ochije has a wide range of experience in depression, anxiety, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and neurocognitive disorders. Her approach and philosophy are collaborative, supportive, and patient-centered. She support both psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy as the best modalities of treatment.

Dr. Sochima Ochije is the most amazing doctor ever!! She She listens, and is very knowledgeable in mental health conditions, medication, and nutrition, also other healthy living in conjunction with medicine. She seems to care, and want what treatment is best for each patient individually.
