The office staff as very friendly and informative at first arrival for the appointment. Details were explained thoroughly and the wait time was minimal. The check-up performed by the staff was very thorough and helpful. They were there to help me with anything I needed. Any questions I had were answered promptly and above my expectations. Anyone going for a check-up or routine visit should be pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this office for anyone with health questions. Just might make them my primary. Definitely worth the drive!

Regarding the wait- I arrived on time for my 8:30 am appointment and checked in. I waited about 35 minutes before the woman at the front desk asked for my ID and insurance card so that she could create a chart. After that, the ball got rolling. A few minutes after my ID and insurance was taken, I was escorted inside by a nurse, who was a pleasure to speak with. He asked me the basic questions and took my weight and blood pressure. He left and then the doctor came in maybe 5 minutes later. Overall, staff was very nice. The wait was a definite downside but I've come to expect at least some wait at all of my doctor's appointments.
This was my first visit with Dr. Hampilos and he was wonderful. He took the time to ask me about my history and if I had any health concerns. He wrote everything down. I don't like to take medicine unnecessarily and Dr. Hampilos is of a similar philosophy - it's more about maintaining your health rather than letting it deteriorate and then treating it.
Overall, I had a very good experience and came away feeling that I will be in good hands with this doctor.

Dr. Hampilos, is board certified in Family Medicine, fellowship trained and board certified in Anti-Aging Medicine and Regenerative Medicine. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Dr. Hampilos received his undergraduate degree at Villanova University and pursued his medical training at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Being a family practice physician since 1985, it was not until 2007 that Dr. Hampilos, through his own personal experience changed his views in healthcare. "I was depressed but not suffering from depression.” After he optimized his hormones that feeling of being fatigued and depressed had resolved. The doctor was fine, but the office staff lacked professionalism. They did not have record of my appointment - although I was receiving emails with reminders the week prior. They had shredded the forms my other doctor had sent to be filled out. They then found my appointment but I did not get in to see the doctor until 1 1/2 hours after my original appointment (which I made as the first one of the day!).

De. Speros is excellent, and the nurses and PA's are fantastic too. The front office leaves a lot to be desired. Booked a 2pm appt. Online and 2 walk ins who arrived after me got in before me. I asked at the desk at 2:40 and the receptionist had no idea I had an appointment and thought I was a walk in.

The doctor seemed very knowledgeable and has good bedside manner. His staff has attitude about making patients wait. When I pointed out that I had been waiting over an hour, an employee made a wise crack. This makes it look like they don't have regard for the patient's time. It would have been nice if they had let the patients know that he was running that far behind and give them an opportunity to either reschedule or adjust their plans.

After relocating to the St. Petersburg, FL area from another state and needing an office visit, Dr. Hampilos, whom was my first choice, proved to be an excellent decision. His staff was efficient yet courteous and he not only offers the best to treat and prevent illness but is providing options to enhance overall well-being that will produce life optimizing results.
