Originally from California, Dr. Thomas eventually made the migration South and grew up in Colleyville, TX. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Duke University in Durham, NC. Dr. Thomas completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX, where she developed her passion for community education and women's health. Her residency training at Parkland Hospital/University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX cultivated her interest in high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic, robotic, vaginal), and complex gynecologic cases. She moved to Houston to join Aurora Gonzalez, M.D. & Associates in August 2014.
Dr. Thomas has been an active member of the American Congress of Obstetrics & Gynecology, advocating for women's healthcare. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and photography.

She came in right away trying to learn me and gave me an overview of what to expect these upcoming months. Her vibe is genuine. Dr. Thomas was very informative and thorough. No complaints whatsoever about her. The wait time on the other hand sucked. I waited over an hour before I was seen by an assistant. Then another 20-30 before I was actually seen by the doctor. My entire visit ran over 2 hours just to get a Well Woman's Exam. Didn't care for that!

I really appreciated how attentive Dr Thomas was. It was a great experience. The only critique I have is in regards to wait time. We checked in at 10:45 a and our appointment was at 11:15 a. We did not walk out of the doctors office until 2:30 pm.

I made this appointment on short notice and was thankful to receive good, quality care form Dr. Thomas and her staff. They were warm and friendly. I was, however, disappointed in the wait time which the front desk attributed to the time it took for insurance verification. If that is true, then 1) please communicate it to me so I'm not just waiting and watching patients who came in after me go in and 2) I arrived 20 minutes early and was taken back 40 min after my appointment. That's a whole hour to verify insurance... I don't think I've ever waited this long for an appointment, ever, so I'm not sure if that was truly the delay.

If you're a new patient you must fill out the paperwork and then they will put you in line for your appointment time. ZocDoc did not send my information to them as their (ZocDoc) system stated they would. I not only spent time filling everything out through ZocDoc but had to turn around and do it again by hand at the doctors office. There was quite a wait - I understand pregnancy and new babies can add a lot to the conversation time between the doctor and patient... and she had a lot of these patients. Overall, after the wait, I was very happy with Stacey herself and with the rest of her staff. Very courteous and informative. I also had to have my blood drawn and this was the first time I had a good experience doing so. Looking forward to continuing with Stacey.

Dr. Thomas took the time to answer all my questions. I went in as a new patient and I do not feel as though she was rushing. Only thing, was her pager went off during my exam and she had to excuse herself to answer, but understandable as she had a patient in labor at the hospital. I had missed my yearly exam and have been unable to find a primary doctor whom I am comfortable with so she ordered a complete blood workup on me.

This was my first visit. I was VERY impressed with how thorough she and her entire staff was. Dr. Thomas took the time to make sure I was comfortable primo to my exam. She also took the time to answer all of my questions as well as give me proper referrals. I will recommend her to anyone in need of a ob gyn.

I did have to wait a bit to see Dr Thomas, but there was an emergency she was attending to and the staff made sure to check in with me to make sure I was ok and to keep me up to date.
Other than that, I found Dr Thomas to have an excellent bed side manner. She seemed very thorough, and to care a lot about my particular issues. She took time to answer all my questions, and to give me reasonable options and advice.
All in all I'd say that I am currently very pleased with her and her office. I've seen a fair amount of doctors in my time, and mostly it's hit or miss, but I think I got lucky this time because she's wonderful.

Dr. Thomas is super nice and friendly. The wait time was ridiculously long, a little over an hour on the wait time and then I also had to wait in the room. Took about 2.5 hours from getting there to leaving. Dr. Thomas said it was because one of the doctors left to tend to her children and on my way out, the waiting room had gone from a full wait room (I had to go into the kid's room to wait) to about 5 people waiting. So given what I saw, I'm willing to go back and try one more time, especially since I liked Dr. Thomas so much.
