A native of Michigan, Dr. Stacy Beute received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University with a major in biology in 1994. From there she moved to Chicago and attended the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 1998 with a Doctorate and an intention to return to Michigan thereafter.
Her love for Chicago and Chicago's love for her convinced her that the windy city was her home. Dr. Beute has made a special impact on thousands of patients who have followed her over the years because of her friendly and kind demeanor as well as her expertise in the exam room. Her specialties include hard to fit contact lenses, children's eye care and Lasik co-management with Kraff Eye Institute.
Dr. Beute's experience includes over 10 years of practice in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, as well as having owned her own private practice in the suburbs. Her passsion for her own practice in Chicago has now become a reality thanks to her love of the neighborhood and the patients she serves.

Awesome! Stacy is super friendly. I haven't had an eye exam in a year but she has the latest technology and you aren't required to do the puff test to check your eye pressure, which was a big plus for me.

Dr. Beute and her staff are extremely professional, timely, and nice! Dr. Beute took her time explaining each step of the process as she examined my eyes, and explained astigmatism and the process of finding the most accurate contact lenses to accommodate it. She's very thorough and generous with her time (with follow up visits too), sending me home or ordering trial lenses until I really find the right ones for me. I sincerely highly recommend her! Thanks Dr. Beute!

I visit the eye doctor once a year for a vision test and to order new glasses. The office is beautiful and Dr. Beute is always friendly. She even remembered things we talked about during my last visit. I will continue to come back to Dr. Beute!

Dr. Beute was great during the exam, but I found the receptionists less than welcoming. I was running a little late (less than 10 minutes), and I received a not-so-friendly phone call informing me that if I were 15 minutes late I would have to reschedule. I'm aware that being late was inexcusable and bad on my part and I probably should have been there 10 minutes early. However, when I walked in (to a completely empty waiting room), Dr. Beute and the two receptionists simply stared at me as if I had done something horrible (no warm or friendly greeting)--I felt like a dog with his tail between his legs. Even when I was paying and leaving the receptionist didn't crack a single smile during my futile attempts at small-talk.

Stacy was absolutely wonderful! Her bedside manner was fantastic, and she explained every test or procedure she was doing. She also seemed to be very receptive of my questions regarding different costs associated with changing to a different brand of contacts. I would highly recommend Stacy to anyone!

Extremely professional; was seen right away despite arriving a few minutes late. Takes the time to listen and think through what issues you may be having instead of making assumptions. Fantastic bedside manner and a pleasure to work with--her staff seems great too, as is the office setting. I look forward to having her as my optometrist.

I've been going to her for 10 or 12 years and wouldn't consider going to anyone else. Somebody was on site to fix the terribly bent out of shape frames of my glasses.

I loved Dr. Beute. She was really kind and spent a lot of time working with me to figure out the right prescription. The only negative I would say is that they have a limited selection of glasses, which, though all really nice, come at a price.
