Dr. Stefanie Altmann is a board-certified dermatologist. She specializes in cosmetic dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and clinical dermatology. She offers comprehensive dermatologic care for adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Altmann graduated from the University of Miami (Go ‘Canes!) where she studied Neuroscience, earning her bachelor’s degree. Dr. Altmann then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her medical degree. She completed her internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, OR before returning to Florida to complete her dermatology residency at Mercer University/Orange Park Hospital.
Dr. Altmann specializes in skin cancer treatment and has had extensive surgical training, including Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction. She is also highly trained and skilled in cosmetic fillers, neuromodulators (Botox®), and a variety of lasers. During her medical training, Dr. Altmann published numerous scientific articles and studies in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals.

My insurance was approved per Zocdoc prior to making the appointment. I booked the appointment 2 weeks ahead. I received several appointment reminders from both Zocdoc and the office directly, plus a rescheduling notification from the office prior to my appointment.
After I got to the appointment, they acted like they weren’t aware of the appointment. I had been waiting for a bit and they called my name and asked me if I had ever been there before, then took my ID and insurance and gave me some paperwork. I was filling it out and they called me back up to tell me that they don’t actually accept my insurance. I had been there for about 30 minutes at that point.
This is the most disorganized, unprofessional doctor’s office I have ever been to. This cost me time from work and it will cost me more time from work again. There were weeks for anyone to reach out and let me know that they would not take my insurance, which was clearly approved per Zocdoc. They did not. I do not recommend.
