She seemed nice but for some reason my insurance wouldn’t accept her, even though Sox doc told me she was covered by my insurance. She was very pleasant. But I really need to find a psychiatrist and I don’t have time to keep making appointments with ones my insurance doesn’t accept. Please fix your website so that when someone goes to look for a doctor that is covered by their insurance, they definitely are. I’m sorry but I just thought you should know. I made some more appointments. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again. If it does I’ll report it to you guys somehow so you can fix the problem. Thanks.

I consider myself blessed to work in a progressive age of healthcare, and strongly believe that mental healthcare especially relies on a culture of acceptance and openness. As a healthcare provider I work harder than ever to foster a safe environment for all patients, and I plan to use my skills and experience to care for patients with mental illness and share good practices in empathy and understanding among my colleagues in healthcare.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified by ANCC, it is my goal to advocate for patients who struggle to be heard or respected, and to manage their treatment with compassion, understanding, and attention to holistic care. My ultimate professional goal is to work with mental health patients in disadvantaged communities and beyond, where the obstacles impeding adequate healthcare are made worse by access to care
I bring with me a unique set of skills and work experiences that have fostered my passion for helping those most in need. In my practice, I’ve seen firsthand the harmful impact on access to care and of inaccurate preconceptions about mental health. Oftentimes, the diagnosis of a particularly stigmatized disorder results in subpar care for underprivileged people who are just as deserving of proper care, especially when I can ensure that preventative care will save them from future challenges. I’m here and determined to make a difference in patient’s life as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
