Izra Serrantes, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist in New York City with a strong focus on orthopedic pain, injury recovery, and whole-body balance. With a background as a figure skating coach since 2010, she brings a deep understanding of movement, posture, alignment, and the physical demands placed on the body. Izra has advanced training in trigger point therapy under the guidance of Diane Rooney, DOM, a master clinician in trigger point therapy. She is trained to effectively treat shoulder imbalance, cervicalgia, back pain, plantar fasciitis, muscle tension, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain patterns. Her treatments may include acupuncture, trigger point release, cupping, moxibustion, electrical stimulation, auricular acupuncture, and Eastern medicine-based nutritional guidance. The first thing I noticed was how calming and beautiful the space is. I only had to wait a few minutes. Izra asked me all these questions that really made me think about things I never thought about before. She made me feel heard and made sure that I was comfortable while she was putting all the needles. After the first session, I left feeling grounded, no low back pain, and head felt so clear -- no perimenopause brain fog and headache!! Been going to Izra for 3 weeks now. It's now my favorite part of the week. I highly recommend her!

The moment you meet Izra, you will feel better right away because she listens, takes notes and does her Needles on my lower back. I went to Acu as a last resort after being on painkillers and plateaud on PT for years. I should’ve done it sooner. Thank you so much Izra!
