Board-certified in pain management and anesthesiology, Stephen Friedman, M.D. specializes in pain management of acute and chronic pain, neuropathic pain, acute shingles pain, poste herpetic neuralgia and facial pain. He received his bachelors’ degree from Tulane University, his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School, and his residency training in anesthesia from Tulane University School of Medicine. He also completed a course in advanced clinical anesthesia and pain management from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in England. From 1993-1996 he worked as the director of cancer pain services at The Pain Consortium of Greater Kansas City. From 1996-1997 he worked at the North Georgia Pain Clinics before transitioning to the Center of Naples at Naples Day Surgery from 1997-2017.
