Dr. Roman is the founder of the RegeneSpine Regenerative Spine and Joint Institute. His practice is dedicated to combining the latest technologies in minimally invasive spinal and other musculoskeletal treatments with the modern advances of regenerative medicine. This includes the use of stem cells, also called mesenchymal stem cells. Blood, bone marrow, and fat are the primary sources of cells that are used for these regenerative therapies. Dr. Roman draws on his extensive experience to give every patient a personalized treatment plan.
Dr. Roman graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University. He then attended New Jersey Medical School for medical school and residency. He then completed a pain management fellowship at Emory University Medical School. He is board certified in regenerative medicine, physical medicine & rehabilitation, pain management, and headache management.
In addition to regenerative medicine, Dr. Roman performs many new minimally-invasive treatments for disorders of the spine and musculoskeletal system. These include epidural injections, sacroiliac joint injections, trigger point injections, ultrasound guided joint injections including viscosupplementation, tendon injections, peripheral nerve stimulation including wireless peripheral nerve stimulation, spinal cord stimulation including wireless spinal cord stimulation, percutaneous tenotomy, percutaneous fasciotomy, discography, intradiscal injections, ultrasound guided minimally invasive carpal tunnel release, and radiofrequency ablation / rhizotomy of the spine, knee, hip, sacroiliac joint, and shoulder.
Dr. Roman is active in clinical research and teaching in the field of regenerative medicine.
