Stephen Robert Rossman, D.O., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon at Hackensack University Medical Center. He specializes in treating arthritic conditions of the hip and knee joint with a strong focus on patient education as part of his approach when caring for his patients. Exploring non-operative treatment for arthritis is of the utmost importance to him. If all non-operative treatment options are exhausted, Dr. Rossman has the surgical expertise to perform partial and total joint replacements of the knee and total joint replacement of the hip. In order to achieve the best possible outcomes, he takes a multidisciplinary approach to complex issues with interests in revision surgery for the treatment of joint infection, fracture, implant loosening and joint instability.
Dr. Rossman is a graduate of Binghamton University and pursued his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine where he served as Chief Resident and was voted “Resident of the Year” by his peers during his chief year. He completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Minnesota. Before joining the orthopedic group at Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Group, Dr. Rossman spent the last three years at Chief of Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Rossman has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in orthopedic journals and his research has been presented at both local and national meetings.
