Dr. Smith was concerned about my "switching horses mid-stream". He really listened to my concerns, and explained everything he saw going on in my eye, in detail. My previous doctor was like prying open a clam, to get any information.
Dr. Smith is very straight forward, open and honest. Dr. Smith is very professional and courteous. I got the second opinion, which I was seeking. Dr. Smith allowed me to make up my mind, without any pressure. My decision to switch has become comfortable.

As a graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine with advanced training from Northwestern University and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Smith has experience treating a wide variety of eye issues, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, vascular and hypertensive retinal problems, retina tears and detachment, and epi-retinal membrane and macular holes.
Never one to let his technical skill get in the way of his friendly, compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Smith is remembered for his willingness to communicate with patients by laying out their options, answering their questions, and addressing their concerns while still providing attentive medical procedures.

Ashley the receptionist was excellent. She was very, very patient, and very hospitable. Her mannerisms on the phone and in person was like a receptionist treated folks back in the day. The nurse that assisted/prepared me for the Doctor was outstanding. Her mannerisms were very calming and professional. She was excellent. Dr. Smith was very professional, calming, and understanding. He explained everything, and allowed me to see pictures and explained them. Very pleased with me visit.
