Dr. Tannenbaum moved to South Florida in 2000 and joined Uromedix where he continues to practice innovative and ground-breaking medicine for his patients. Dr. Tannenbaum pioneered the Laparoscopic surgery (for kidney tumors and varioceles), the DaVinci Robotic surgery (for prostate and kidney cancers), and the Cryosurgery (for prostate cancer) programs at Uromedix. He maintains the largest experience of these cutting edge procedures at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, Florida. Dr. Tannenbaum also started the Transuretheral Microwave Thermotherapy for Benign Enlargement of the Prostate and he initiated the Niagra Green light Laser treatment program (for BPH) at Uromedix.
Dr. Tannenbaum performs and teaches pelvic reconstructive surgery and treats patients with urinary dysfunction, incontinence and impotence using the most modern techniques and procedures. Dr. Tannenbaum also manages kidney stones using the latest lasers, the Holmium, shockwaves and percutaneous approaches. He believes in performing complete metabolic and dietary evaluations which help patients get the optimal benefits from their treatment plan. Dr. Tannenbaum also has a special interest in hormone replacement therapy and sports-related genitourinary problems.

I'm sure he's a good doctor, but he was very short with us, our test results weren't in our file and we knew that they had been fax the day before and he treated us like it was our fault. After telling us the results were normal he very oddly said, You don't need a Urologist. He wasn't nice, or warm and I really doubt I would ever recommend him to anyone.

I have lived in South Florida for nearly 20 years. With ever changing insurance plans and coverages, I have met multiple doctors with whom I was not comfortable. I'm unsure if it is due to the evolving state of the modern medical profession, but many doctors seem overly stressed, agitated or, sometimes, downright rude. First impressions are important. Being in pain with a suspected kidney stone, I was fortunate to get an immediate appointment with Dr. Tannenbaum.
He was very professional, personable and explained everything clearly. He answered all of my questions (even though some of them may have been silly) thoroughly and without the slightest hint of condescension. I did not feel as if he was hurrying to get rid of me and move on to the next patient. He was comforting and not dismissive of my pain.
I am now scheduled for a CT scan to verify my problem. I feel confident having my follow up appointment with this physician, so I will enthusiastically recommend Dr. Tannenbaum.
