Dr. Stephen Trauzzi is a native of New York City. He attended Xavier High School in Manhattan and continued on to Georgetown University when he earned his MD Degree and a BS Degree in Biology.
He completed his urology training at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in 1994 and subsequently joined the private practice of Dr. Piero Niceta and Dr. Pellegrino Tozzo in New Rochelle. He has been an attending in Urology at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle since then. He is also a consultant Urologist on staff at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx and is on the medical staff at Westchester Medical Center, Lawrence Hospital and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Trauzzi is presently the President of the New York State Urological Society.
He is the Vice-President of the Medical Staff at Sound Shore Medical Center and the Cancer Liaison Physician at the Hospital. He practices General Urology.

I went to test a kidney stone. I knew the stone is made of calcium and I have to drink a lot of water to avoid future stones. The doctor said he will call back to discuss the test results. The doctor called and said just the same - calcium stone and drink water. No more insights. No recommendations on food. Seemed very hurried and didn’t give chance to ask questions. My visit was futile as i got to know nothing new.

Dr. Stephen tore my vein as he drew blood for testing. He didn’t use the butterfly needle method. He just used the think needle that directly connects to the blood draw tube. 12 inches of my arm was bruised for 6 months, I could move my arm for the first month. Dr. Stephen just said put ice on it. He is too aggressive and I would never have a surgery under his care. I don’t recommend!

Very nice Doctor knew his work I liked him a lot I was out of there right away would recommend Dr. Trauzzi. I was not to pleased with the front desk no hello morning very cold staff. I made my app. on line so all I had to do was give my Ins. card but when I got there had to do all my information again on a tablet which took a lot of time and I told the girl but she did not acknowledge me when I told her. Plus made app. on line they sent me a confirmation on app. Then 1/2 later told me to reschedule app. I had to call back to say I was coming.
