Stephen Warnick, MD grew up in Eastpointe, Michigan and was the first in his family to go to college. He pursued training in both Family Medicine and Psychiatry so that he could take care of his patients’ minds and bodies. He has a special interest in caring for patient populations that have typically been underserved or neglected by our current medical system, providing a safe place in his practice for patients from all backgrounds regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation or language. He strongly believes that every person has a right to quality and affordable healthcare, and sees patients of all ages, from newborn through geriatrics. He has experience working in a variety of settings, including community health centers in Detroit, rural community health centers throughout Michigan, academic health centers, and hospital settings. Dr. Warnick has come to Beaumont due to his passion for clinical care as well as teaching, and serves as the Associate Program Director for the Beaumont Grosse Pointe Family Medicine Residency, where he sees patients in both the outpatient clinic and hospital settings. Teaching, service, and community engagement are important to him in his professional life. In his time outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running, reading and enjoying the rich culture of Detroit.
