The doc has the lightest touch ever, I didnt even realize he was done until i saw him get up and discarding the spectrum. His office is relatively clean and decent.. I didnt feel like I got to know the doc and during the consultation the doctor had a cough spell, i really didnt like how he didnt cover his mouth and even cough on me while doing the pap smear. I wont go back..

I went to him for a regular gynecology appointment and he was above average and answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. Now recently I missed my period and was starting to feel nauseous and achy. I took two pregnancy tests and they were both positive. I made an appointment with Dr. Yu. When I arrived at his office this time, he was unavailable, but there was no warning given to patients since there was a woman in line before me who seemed to urgently be looking for him. They made me meet with the other doctor in the practice, Dr. Yuan who rushed me through the entire appointment. (mind you...it's my first pregnancy, so I was trying to ask questions...can you blame me?) Every response was a rushed "yeah...yeah...yeah...you're fine...." "I'll write you a prescription..." overall I was very upset with that experience. A few days later I called the office to get my results and they were given to me in a very unprofessional manner and the doctor never offered to explain anything to me. I asked them to fax the results to me and noticed that messed up not only my name, but also my date of birth, and probably the results too! The most unprofessional doctor's office I've encountered! I'm obviously looking for a new OBGYN!

I do not like how the office reuses a speculum for pep smear on everyone then put it in a solution. They do not use the disposable ones. So that's a big negative because not everyone trust that the speculum is cleaned.

Dr. Yu sees a lot of patient in a short period of time so he doesn't spend a lot of time with each patient and you don't get that feeling that you are really getting to know your doctor. He does a fine job of answering your questions and addressing the major concerns but lacks or forgets to address the other issues. I'm pretty laid back so he is fine for picking up my birth control pills and getting a yearly pap smear. But I wouldn't use his if I were pregnant or had a major health issue.

It was a quick and easy visit. I just went in for my annual exam and pap smear. It was snowing and a horrible commute so it was understandable that the Dr was a little late.

I recently decided to change my OBG who I was seeing for many years. The main reason was that I had to wait and wait and wait, always for more than an hour. Besides, I was treated like a number, not like a patient by the office staff. Dr. Yu is down to earth, has the latest touch ever during the unpleasant yearly examination. He is very efficient, yet he taught me properly and with the pictures how to look for trouble - examine my breast, and recognize and tell apart the signs of aging from possible health issues. I am so happy to have find Dr Yu and I hope that he stays in practice for a long time!
