My style is personal – I know my patients. I know what happens with their deliveries, and I know what happens with their family members. Being a doctor isn’t just about diagnosing. It’s about listening and helping patients live better, happier lives.
I grew up in Puerto Rico and then moved to Baltimore where I got my undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Goucher College. I went back to Puerto Rico for med school where I was fortunate to be able to learn medicine in both English and Spanish. After med school, I returned to the DC area and Georgetown University Medical Center for my residency, which is where I met my husband who is also a doctor.

Doctor Morales was kind and understanding, however -- and this is not her fault -- I don't think it's acceptable to be forced to wait more than an hour to see a doctor you've scheduled an appointment with, and now, over 3 weeks after my appointment; I'm still waiting to be told my results. My phone calls have not been returned.
She is a very nice person. I felt comfortable with her. Excellent!
No es facil conseguir una cita en poco tiempo y lo peor es que te hace esperar mas de una hora cada vez que vas a consulta, no la recomiendo.
fue buena la explicacion que me dio
I really, really liked Carolyn Morales, MD, FACOG! She was very easy to talk to. I feel confident in her knowledge and comfortable talking to her. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED by how long I had to wait to be seen by her. I did my paper work online, so I wouldn't have to wait in the office. My appointment was at 10:15, however, when I got there they didn't get the online paper work and when they finally did, they still had me fill out forms. The receptionist doesn't "sign you in" until all of the paper work is complete, so even though I was early and had already filled everything out a month ago, I was not signed in until 10:35. After waiting another 25 minutes, I asked the receptionist how much longer the wait would be. She was very nice but explained that it may be another half hour or longer and then the appointment may also last an hour to an hour and a half. I had to leave the office by 11:55 to pick up my daughter from preschool, so I was EXTREMELY frustrated that after getting there at 10:05 and already making sure my paper work was filled out ahead of time, there was still paper work to be filled out (which was not given to me online) and after waiting for an hour to get in, I was going to have to cancel my appointment and come back! It was ridiculous! And the receptionist didn't really seem to be apologetic about how absurd it all was. FORTUNATELY, I made it clear I really had to be seen no later than 11 and had to be DONE by 11:55 (which should be more than acceptable given my appointment was scheduled for 10:15) and they got me in right away and Dr. Morales was very understanding and got in me in and out very quickly. I was hoping to have much more time with her since it was my first visit, but the administrative part of the visit was very poorly run and made that impossible. I truly do like Dr. Morales and would like to stay with her as my doctor but if this is how all of my appointments go there, I will find another doctor.
Excelente. Una doctora muy agradable y profesional. Habla muy bien español, al igual que todo el personal. Excellent. A very nice doctor and very professional. She speaks very good Spanish, and all the staff as well
She was very personable and I instantly felt comfortable with her. I appreciated the front desk staff - they were friendly upon check in
Fue muy agradable, educada y muy profesional, no tengo queja alguna.
It was nice and good! and thankful to Dr. Carolyn Morales too for her good service...
I've been seeing Dr. Morales for years and I'm always happy when I leave her office. She is awesome.
The Doctor is wonderful, highly recommended. Very knowledgeable. I have been to lots of gyn and not gotten the right diagnosis. She nailed it!
She was very understanding that it was my first time, and she was great with what she did and the advice she gave, and the wait was long, but I understand because she likes to spend time on each patient and I appreciate that! Will be seeing her throughout my pregnancy.
Excelente profesional, buen trato con el paciente...
We waited 1.5 hours in 3 spots before we could see the doctor, it was frustrated! She was good in overall.
This was my second time seeing Dr. Morales within a week and a half. I had to come back for a followup. My first appointment was a disaster (I wrote a review about that...it took over two hours for me to be seen). Anyway, this time it only took about an hour and 15 minutes to be seen, so I guess I'll take that as a win. I liked Dr. Morales, but all of her staff is terrible. Since I was waiting for so long, I was watching the nurses call back other patients. Every single one of them (I observed four different girls) seemed completely annoyed, disinterested and not engaging at all. They would walk halfway towards the waiting room and yell a patient's name, but you couldn't even see where the nurse was calling you from depending on where you were sitting because they couldn't even bother to walk all the way out to the waiting room to meet and guide the patient. I saw one woman walk up to the receptionists desk because that's where she thought she was being called from, and another girl just sat there looking confused. When I was taken back the nurse was nice enough to me, but after taking my vital signs she brought me over to this other desk area/receptionist looking area in the back while she got on a laptop to see why I was there. She had me stand right next to her while I waited, and spread out neatly on the countertop were printouts of patient lab and test results! I could see everything. I saw a woman's name, date of birth, and the results of her HPV test (which was positive). I should not have been able to see this! Upon being brought to the second waiting room to wait some more, a male doctor was walking through the area with his patient and her boyfriend/husband, and the doctor was talking about how the exam he had just performed on her showed tenderness and he was concerned so he wanted to do an ultrasound (I think). 30 minutes later, they all walked back through the waiting area again and he was still talking about her saying that what he had just done was very concerning and there was something going on with her bladder. I'm sorry, I should not have been able to hear all of that and see the patient while that discussion was occuring. The doctor could have at least waited until they were in a private area or exam room. Again, I liked Dr. Morales, but I don't feel like my personal information is safe in this office and her staff did not make me feel comfortable. I will not be returning.
I made my appointment the day before, so I understand if things were busy. However, don't have an open appointment listed on zocdoc if you can't handle it... I waited for one hour after checking in, and then a nurse called me back and just did my blood pressure, height and weight. She then moved me to a second waiting room in a different part of the office. I waited one more hour, before a different nurse came over to me and asked why I was being seen. She did this in the waiting room with two other patients sitting near me! I was being seen for a sensitive reason that I did not want other people to overhear. She tried to blame it on the first nurse by saying 'Oh sorry, the other nurse didn't ask you!', kind of with an attitude like she was upset with the other nurse. Well I'm sorry, the area that I was in with the first nurse wasn't private either! After waiting a little over two hours total, I finally saw the doctor. I'm sure I was the last patient of the day and she seemed like she wanted to get out of there quickly, so she was pretty abrupt with her explanations. I wanted to get out of there too, but I received a pretty serious diagnosis that I wasn't expecting so I would have appreciated a little more time and explanation. I liked the doctor, but the only reason I'm going back is to get confirmation of test results that were done and also to get my blood drawn (which I was unable to do on my first visit since it was so late and the nursing staff had already left). I don't even know if I owed a co-pay because the lights were off in the waiting room and the front desk staff was gone when I was directed by the doctor to leave and check out. The office was a weird set up. The Silver Spring location is at Holy Cross Hospital. I've been to doctors who have their offices at hospitals before and they seemed and felt like normal offices to me. This however almost felt like I was in a regular hospital ER. It's hard to describe. Aside from the long wait, I just didn't feel comfortable there and didn't like how everything was run and set up.
Atiende rapido es una muy buena ginecologa. Muy buen servicio.
The waiting period was a bit long at which she was not too impressed with. I did let her know it was partly my own fault. I thought she was very personable. She asked very good questions, very forward (which I appreciate in a doctor) , she explained things very well and then took precautionary measures where she thought it was needed. Overall I was very impressed with her and I'm actually very glad to have her as a doctor.
She is a great doctor, I like to she fallow my healt
I liked Dr. Morales, although there WAS more of a wait than I would have liked. Of course, it was on a Friday afternoon, a week before a holiday week, so that may have had something to do with how busy the office was.
On my previous visit, I waited about an hour before seeing the Doctor, the staff said that day was abnormally busy. I believed them. On my next visit, it was the exactly same conditions waiting more than an hour. There are total two waiting steps- I waited for almost 40 min in front of the receptionist and once called, there is another waiting stage before entering to the patient room. The time with Doctor was only about 5 min for consultation. The front desk receptionist for Morales was very rude for both visit (she did not even talk to visiting patients until the patient had to ask questions) and does not know how to treat patient in courtesy at the clinic. The second stage waiting room, the nurse assistance for Morales gave wrong room information to the patient. They should take classes for improvement of taking care of patients and they should NOT make appointments with many patients in same time period. Patients are not things which they can put them in cargo at the same time !
Dr. Morales was very friendly and professional. Took the time to listen to my problems and explain everything she was doing. Wait time was a little long but it was worth it!
Fue mi primera cita con la Dra Morales y por el dia de hoy estuvo muy bien la atención y las recomendaciones dadas
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. She has great bedside manner and is willing to take the time to explain what she is doing.
She is very friendly, she listens to your concerns and questions and she is happy to answer them all. I don't see myself going to another doctor anytime soon!
Dr. Morales is beyond the best doctor I've ever been to. She really took the time to talk to me and get to know me. I felt safe comfortable and well taken care of. I have never been to a doctor that made me feel like I was so important.
She is very kind, patient and understanding. I appreciate the way she sits and talks to me about my issues and gets things done efficiently.
Very personable and informative.
I have been going to her since I was 18, I am now 23 and have no complaints about her. I have complete and full trust in her and do believe she cares. Recently I have found that my mother, my cousin my cousins mother AND a friend who I have been close to since grade school all go to her as well and feel the same. Though the staff at the office I am not too fond of. Thus, the one less star in the recommendation. They unfortunately have made me feel not so welcomed, and recently even uncomfortable with myself. My close friend agreed and wanted to send a complaint on the staff. Other than that I think Dr. Morales is great!
She was wonderful...very nice and professional! So happy I found my new doc on the first try!
After having bad experiences with the last few doctors I have seen, Dr. Morales was a breath of fresh air. She took the time to speak with me and relieve many of the fears brought on by the past doctors. I would recommend her to my family and friends.
Very professional. It was easy to make an appointment and I felt extremely comfortable the entire time. She explained things well and I never left feeling as though I had unanswered questions.
She was very sweet and walked me through the procedure.
Dr. Morales was very attentive and caring as well as being very professional. She is the best OB/GYN doctor I've ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Morales.
