Dr. Steven Bomeli was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and went to the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate studies. He completed medical school at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. This training included all aspects of comprehensive otolaryngology, in addition to complex head and neck and skull base surgery. During his final two years of residency, he was awarded the outstanding educator award by his peers. After finishing residency, he practiced as a general otolaryngologist outside of Charlotte, NC where he found his passion for thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
He then completed an additional year of advanced fellowship training in complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery at Georgia Regents University. This subspecialty training included nerve monitoring, ultrasonography, and minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques.
Dr. Bomeli is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and he is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Head and Neck Society, and the American Thyroid Association.
His personal interests include automobile restoration, traveling, and outdoor activities with his wife, son, and daughter.
He has privileges at Northside Hospital, Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, Perimeter Surgery Center, and Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center.
Dr. Bomeli accepts most all major insurances and Medicare. We do not accept MedicAID, Ambetter, Kaiser HMO or some other small closed plans. We have reasonable self-pay rates for uninsured or out of network patients but do ask a $250 depo

Staff is excellent! My appointment was at 10 a.m and I checked in and went straight to a room. Saw the Doctor within ten minutes. Dr. Bomeli is awesome! He is very laid back and easy to talk to. He made sure to check all areas of concern and recommend different options for treatment. He did not rush and kick you out the door like most doctors would. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and makes the patient feel like they are his priority.

Great! Solved my problem. I had to wait a little bit (about 30 minutes or less) but that's kind of expected with appointments later in the day.The only thing I had to pay for was my spot in the parking deck ($6). I also appreciate how I was sent my paperwork online about a week before my appointment. Highly recommend!
