Dr. Silverman is originally from Manhattan and earned is Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then attended The Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he earned his degree in Medicine. Dr. Silverman then moved to West Hartford, Connecticut where he completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at The Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, before moving to West Palm Beach in 1977 to join Dr. Casale in private practice.
Dr. Silverman is currently a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG) as well as the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, The Florida and Palm Beach OB/GYN Societies and the North American Menopausal Society as well as numerous other associations and societies dedicated to the advancement of women's health.
Dr. Silverman has also been a national and community lecturer for ACOG as well as for numerous pharmaceutical corporations. He served on the board of South Florida chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for more than twenty years. He is a former President of the Palm Beach OB/GYN Society. He is also a former Chief of Staff as well as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida.
