His office is on the 3rd floor of Physician's Regional Medical Building off of Pine Ridge Rd. His office asked that I check in on the 1st floor and have a shoulder x-ray at 1pm before my 2pm appointment.
When I checked in on the 1st floor the receptionist told me they had my insurance records in their database. I had the x-rays and went up to the 3rd floor to Dr Goldberg's reception area and checked in. They did not ask about or mention insurance so I assumed they had coordinated with the reception desk on the 1st floor.
Once at home after my visit Dr Goldberg's office called me and said my insurance was not accepted. They never asked me, either during the appointment process or while I was in their office, for my insurance information. Since the check in receptionist on the 1st floor told me they had my insurance information on file and since no one told me Dr Goldberg's insurance requirements might be different from the x-ray check in receptionist's on the first floor, I asumed they were compatible.
I feel that Dr Goldberg's office shoud have informed me that they were not part of Physician's Regional system and asked me for my insurance information.
