11/13/2025. I was seen by Dr. Hammer fairly soon after my arrival (a reasonably short wait time). He spent a fairly long time giving me a thorough eye exam. He listened to my concerns and explained the reasons as to why a new prescription will help to address them. Mr. Bush, the optician, took care to make measurements to assure my new frames would conform to the prescription change. He also made extra effort to track down the specific frames that I wanted. Overall, I find the office staff respectful, congenial and accommodating. I highly recommend this practice.

I have had the pleasure of caring for my patients in the Sheepshead Bay area for over 20 years. I earned my Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York and completed my Bachelor's degree at SUNY Binghamton. Our goal is to provide professional eye and vision care for each and every patient. Whether it’s treating glaucoma, removing a foreign body, relieving dry eyes, or providing the best eyeglasses and contact lenses available, we strive for our patients to leave us feeling and seeing better. In short, we try to make a difference.
