Clean, well-run office. The wait time was a little long, but it seemed that was because he was paying proper attention to each patient rather than racing from appointment to appointment. He listened well, took time to really analyze the problem, and seemed knowledgable and judicious in prescribing medicine (decided not to in my case). I would recommend his services.

Dr. Katz is a board certified ophthalmic surgeon specializing in cataract, laser and refractive surgery. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine where he was elected to the prestigious honors medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
He continued his education with two years of advanced training in modern cataract and refractive surgery in Cincinnati.
His office was established in the Bronx in 1987, where he introduced several new cataract and refractive techniques. He has performed thousands of cataract implant procedures and specializes in astigmatism correction and premium IOL options.
Dr. Katz is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an attending surgeon at Montefiore Medical Center. He has published articles on the development of age related cataract and various micro-surgical techniques.

The doctors assistant were so flippant and unhelpful. They acted like the were doing me a favor by being there. My questions were answered in such a cold and abrupt manner and I regretted ever booking an appointment at this practice. Dr Katz bedside manner was average and wasn't too helpful in terms of proper treatment for the case I presented to him.
I would never go back there and would not advise anyone that wants the best care to.

My experience over was great. They called me within seconds of booking via Zocdoc to confirm the appointment. The office is clean and well kept. Parking was easy to find. Walking in, I appreciated being greated and helped in such a pleasant manner by the entire staff. Dr.Katz was quick, helpful and very informative. Within just an hour I was in and out the door treated and with peace of mind. I will recommend him to anyone in need.

Good doctor. He was a second opinion to another doctor who diagnosed me with glaucoma in both eyes. Dr. Katz saw no glaucoma and saw other preventive optical nerves that needed to be treated. He is fair and honest. I strongly recommend him to anyone

Dr Katzs es un Dr con una sonrisa bonita pero el es muy serio el se rie muy poco.
De alguna manera, quienes tedemos a ver a doctores de los ojos, cuando son demasiado muy serios
tu tiendes a ponerte nerviosa, porque sabes que revisara tus ojos y piensas que por la seriedad que tiene el sera tosco y grocero al tocar tus ojos.
Pero no fue asi Dr Katzs-
No fue tosco, ni grocero pero si super serio.
Pero es un hecho!
El doctor tiene una seriedad extrema.
Que casi no te sientes con un buena confianza de explicar nada, lo que te aqueja, de tus ojos porque por su seriedad piensas que se enojara mas.
Personalmente me dio la impresion que estaba enojado, :)
pero prefiero pensar que no.....
pienso que estaba asi, por su seriedad.
Me hubiese gustado tener un diagnostico escrito por el, diciendo exactamente lo que pasa con mis ojos. Pero no lo tuve.
Se lo pregunte a la senora de los lentes pero me dijo que despues que ella me tomara, la medida de los lentes tendria que regresar a ver el Dr
y Dr me iba decir que estaba pasando con mi vision.
Pero no fue asi.
Y tambien una vez que volvi a ver al DR, olvide preguntarle sobre el diagnostico de mis ojos.
Pienso que, todos los pacientes deben tener un diagnostico detalladamente explicado de el problema de su vista.
Para despejar dudas" o tener el nombre de su padecimiento.
Y a la vez, tener----
Recomendaciones, y sugerencias futuras.
Este no fue el caso pero no creo que sea porque no quiso darme alguna instruccion el doctor sino, porque quizas no es la costumbre de la clinica, dar un diagnostico detallado.
Por escrito, o verbal. De lo que sucede con los ojos.
Oh fue que simplemente se me olvido a mi, preguntarle al Dr y a la misma vez, al Doctor.
Pero si se, que necesito lentes.
Lo sabia antes de ir a ver, al Doctor, pero aun no se, que tan bien o mal esta, mi vision.
Quizas le pregunte cuando vaya a recoger mis lentes.
Dentro de todo, es un Dr profesional.
Pero serio. Como esposo debe ser mas serio. Jajaja!

I found Dr Katz to be extraordinarily attentive, knowledgable and caring in his treatment of me. He got to the bottom of an eye condition that I've been struggling with for a long time and that other doctors seemed to miss and he has offered me new hope and tremendous relief. Dr Katz' staff was also extremely courteous and professional and his office was spotless. Dr Katz is that rare kind of doctor that I am so glad I found!
