Dr. Nissirios was very nice and helpful for my first eye consultation. I booked an appointment to get a new prescription and to check my irritated eyes. He knew right away what the problem was which showed me how experienced andknowledgeable he is. I’m happy to return to him for all my eye care needs from now on.

Waited 40 minutes past my appointment time, not including the time I arrived earlier to get all my check in information processed. I was about to just leave when I got called in. For what it’s worth, the doctor was very personable and professional.

The visit felt very rushed. Although Dr Nissirios is very knowledgeable, I didn't feel like he took the necessary time to properly address my concerns and reasons for my visit. It was past 5pm and there were several patients in thewaiting room so I understand why he would rush through the visit, but I really wish he did spend more time answering questions.

I went for Regular checkup of my eyes and to confirm my in use eyeglasses number at Dr Nicholas Nissirios, after checkup I was told to get my prescription from the front desk where I was told to pay Extra Moneyif I need my prescription. I had been to many eye doctors in NYC bearing the same credentials and specialty as DR Nissirios, but no one ever held my prescription and never asked me for Extra Money for releasing my prescription. It’s very strange that a doctor keeps the prescription with himself and demands certain amount from the patient to release the prescription, it is against the Patient Health Information as it is the patient right that the patient personal health information be disclosed to him. If you want to go to this doctor, then even if you are using your insurance you must take some extra money with you if you want to get your prescription from him.

Personable, professional, and proactive. He took the time to listen, really listen and administered or directly oversaw each ocular exam. Even administering the eye drops himself! I have had the unfortunate luck of having too many cattlecall, cattle prod insurance pillaging doctors. Nissirios is not one of them! After many years of unclear, medical jargon used, Dr Nissirios finally clarified root causes of my vision in the most elementary terms. Finally, a doctor who clarifies the why and how, and does not leave one perplexed, wrapped medical jargon and marinated in Weltschmerz.

I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Nissirios. He explains thoroughly what is going on and is extremely friendly. He knows immediately what's wrong based on symptoms and his experience. I also tend to trust a doctor more who understands how essential oils can help.

The Dr. himself was fine. I booked a 9:20am appt, but when I arrived, was told that it could be up to an hour wait. Would rather have gotten this into on zocdoc prior to appt. However, I made it apparentthat I was in a rush to get to work & the staff accommodated me. I'll return for my follow up appointment.
