I was at the office a total of 2 hours 50 minutes. I was told that the doctor just returned froma month long vacation. I don't know how that might affect prescheduled appointment slots, but of course I don't know the whole behind the scene details. Staff and doctor were very pleasant and patient. I witnessed the front ladies being extremely patient with a woman who wouldn't stop rambling and asking questions for at least an hour. This was my first time here and I'd love to return if the wait time is just a temporary thing.

I went there for a painful right eye. He told me it is an infection from contacts. He didnt stain or dilate my eyes. He literally took 5mins. Gave me some open drops that were in cabinet and sent me on my way. If I wasnt in som much pain, I would made a big deal.

While I was not at all pleased with waiting over an hour to be seen, (especially because the visit itself couldn't be quick due to dilating eyes, etc.), once I finally got to see Dr. Nissirios, he was fantastic and it was worth the wait. Great bedside manner and took time to explain why someone like myself who had corrective eye surgery would need to have plugs put in (and then did them) to reduce dry eye symptoms. Given I will likely need to go back to him every 6 months if these plugs work as he says they will, I think I'll ask the front desk if there are better times/days to schedule to avoid such a lengthy wait.

Everyone who works there is professional and friendly. The doctor has great bedside manner, explained everything, and made sure to answer any and all questions. I waited about 30 minutes to be initially seen by the physician’s assistant who examined my eyesight, went back to the waiting room, saw the doctor about 10 minutes later, went back to the waiting room for my eyes to dilate, waited 10 more minutes, was seen by the physician’s assistant, went back to the waiting room, then was seen by the doctor one last time. The back and forth was a little strange to me, but I didn’t find it bothersome.

Long wait, had an eye infection and my eye was in a lot of pain. Waited for about an hour to be seen. Office also feels like a rehab group session. However this is probably one of the most experienced ophthalmologists you will find in New York. He has a very extensive background and knows his stuff! Immediately gave me a quick and accurate diagnosis with clear and concise instructions on how to treat it. Would go back but he doesn’t take my new insurance.

The doctor and staff were very friendly and pleasant. Nice, clean and large office- pretty impressive! The office was fairly busy for 9am on a rainy Thursday, but they came in and tested my vision, diagnosed me and explained treatment. Efficient and to the point with not too much convo, but at least I saw the doc himself. Plus I’m not much of a talker anyway so that’s okay. My diagnosis was pretty simple so not much to say, but I will come back for the annual eye exam. Many locations available that are convenient for me- Flushing and Astoria.
